Recruitment of One PhD Student for April 2027 Admission

The Nishizono Laboratory is recruiting one PhD student to enroll on April 1, 2027.

For details regarding eligibility, application schedules, selection procedures, and other requirements, please refer to the graduate school website. Prior consultation is required before applying. Please contact us using the email address listed under “General Information” on this website.

• The successful candidate is expected to be employed as a Project Assistant working on a research project, subject to the university’s prescribed recruitment procedures. A monthly salary will be provided during the period of employment.

• The annual gross salary is expected to be approximately JPY 3.5–4.0 million, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, research experience, and employment history.

• Social insurance is provided. No bonus is available, and the university and laboratory do not provide dormitory or other accommodation.

• The student will work as a Project Assistant while attending graduate courses, which are mainly offered in the evening, and conducting doctoral research. Upon completion of the required coursework and research requirements, the student will be eligible to apply for the degree of Doctor of Medical Science.

• Tuition and facility fees are required for enrollment in the graduate school. The current estimated cost is approximately JPY 900,000 for the first year and JPY 700,000 per year from the second year onward. These fees are generally the responsibility of the student.

• Private apartments are available near the university, with monthly rents generally ranging from several tens of thousands of yen, depending on the property.

• Applications from overseas candidates are welcome. However, applicants should consult the graduate school in advance regarding the availability of support for visa and residence-status procedures.

西園研究室では、2027年4月1日入学の博士課程大学院生を1名募集します。

出願資格、出願期間、選考方法などの詳細については、大学院のホームページをご確認ください。出願前の事前相談を必須としていますので、本ホームページの「General Information」に記載されているメールアドレスまでお問い合わせください。

• 採用予定者は、別途所定の採用手続きを経たうえで、研究プロジェクトに従事する特定助手として雇用する予定です。雇用期間中は毎月給与が支給されます。

• 給与額は、これまでの研究経験や経歴などにより異なりますが、額面で年収350万～400万円程度を予定しています。

• 社会保険を完備しています。賞与はありません。また、大学や研究室が提供する寮・宿舎はありません。

• 特定助手として勤務しながら、主に夜間に開講される大学院の授業を履修し、研究を進めます。所定の単位および研究要件を満たすことで、博士（医学）の学位取得を目指すことができます。

• 大学院の学納金として、授業料および施設利用料が必要です。現在の目安は、初年度約90万円、2年目以降は年間約70万円です。学納金は原則として本人負担となります。

• 大学周辺には民間のアパートがあり、家賃は物件によって異なりますが、概ね月額数万円です。

• 海外からの出願も可能です。ただし、在留資格の取得やビザに関する支援の可否については、出願前に大学院事務担当部署へお問い合わせください。

西園研究室では2026年4月1日入学の大学院生を１～2名募集します。出願日程など詳細は大学院のホームページをご覧下さい。当研究室では、学内外の奨学金とは別に研究費から大学院生に毎月RA費を支給します。そのため、事前相談は必須です。General infoのアドレスからご相談下さい。

Nishizono Lab will be recruiting 1–2 PhD students starting April 1, 2026. For details such as application dates, please refer to the graduate school’s official website. In addition to external scholarships, our lab provides a monthly RA stipend to PhD students from our research budget. Therefore, a prior consultation is required. プロジェクト雇用型研究員の募集

Research Project 2のプロジェクトにおいて、プロジェクト雇用型研究員を募集します。

仕事内容は、開発中の精子活性化デバイスの実証試験、改良を担当していただきます。求める人物の専門性としては、理学・医学領域では、実験生物学全般（ただし、植物学を除く）、生物物理（理論）、農学領域では畜産学、動物生産学、工学領域では生体医工学などを想定しています。

※働きながら金沢医科大学大学院にて博士号取得を目指す方も歓迎します！

給与等の待遇については本学の規定によりますので、お問合せ下さい。なお、本ポジションはJST研究資金での雇用のため、「プロジェクトの実施のために雇用される若手研究者の自発的な研究活動等の実施」としてエフォートの20%までは自発的研究が認められます。

Job Opening: Project-Based Postdoctoral Researcher for Sperm Activation Device Development (Project 2)

We are seeking a project-based postdoctoral researcher to join Research Project 2, which focuses on the development of a novel sperm activation device. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting proof-of-concept experiments and contributing to device improvement and optimization.

Desired Background:

We welcome applicants from a variety of disciplines, including:

• Life Sciences / Medicine: Experimental biology (excluding plant biology), theoretical biophysics

• Agricultural Sciences: Animal husbandry, animal production science

• Engineering: Biomedical engineering, related fields

Candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. at Kanazawa Medical University while working on the project are also welcome!
